Often we get these two terms confused, assuming that they mean the same thing. They are far, far from it! Let me explain what I mean using golf.
Whether you play golf or not, you have to admit, it’s a simple game. Notice I didn’t say it’s an EASY game. What’s the difference?
Think about the game of golf for a second. You are trying to hit a small white ball into a hole with a fancy metal club. Who ever gets it in with the fewest amount of hits wins. Doesn’t get much simpler than that! It is not hard to understand how golf works because it is simple.
With that being said, it is FAR from easy. Many people spend their entire lives trying to perfect their game and spend thousands of dollars on coaches, equipment, and anything else that will give them a leg up.
Golf is a fun (and for me, terribly frustrating) game but I use it only as an illustration. You see, many things in life are simple and we assume that since they are simple then they must be easy as well and that is simply not the case. Marriage is simple, not easy. Success is simple, not easy. Parenting is simple, not easy. Rocket science is not simple and not easy (just wanted to see if you were still paying attention.)
Health is much the same. By keeping your spine aligned properly and making sure your nervous system is free from interference your entire body can function the way it is supposed to. It’s simple, but not always easy. Sometimes it’s hard to remember to get your adjustment when you’re feeling so good. It can take commitment but man, is it worth it! Most people find success when they commit to doing common things with an uncommon consistency. Good luck!

Ok, here are some of the most up to date tips to stay healthy for the holidays. To be healthy you have to make healthy choices and do things that everyone else is not. Healthy is a choice, and a little planning, but it is well worth it. Your health is your biggest asset. Here’s to an amazing holiday season…
Don’t Get Sick!
One of the reasons sickness, as well as all other diseases, rise during the holiday season is due to poor lifestyle choices. These poor choices are in the areas of, not getting adjusted, poor nutrition, allowing stress to run rampant, failing to exercise, etc.
Eliminating sickness and disease by increasing and maximizing your health and functioning of every cell, organ, and tissue of the body. Studies have shown that those under Chiropractic care had an Immune System 200% stronger than those who did not receive care, and 400% stronger immune systems than Cancer patients!
… at least 20 minutes per day, 3-4 times per week.
… try Interval training classes (sometimes called “Burst” or “Surge” training) burn more calories than regular aerobic exercise.

Remember to watch your “Acid/Alkaline Balance”. The more acidic your diet is (Man-made foods, Processed foods, sugars) the more likely bacteria, virus, fungi, cancer, inflammation, and disease will spread and develop.
Try to eat your normal meals the day of the holiday. If you can, consume a high fiber drink to give you feeling of fullness so you do not eat as much and also help “prep“ the body to digest and get rid of the bad/processed foods. Also try to eat your proteins first, then veggies, then carbs/desserts.
It is more important during the holidays to get your adjustments than ever. It decreases stress, increases your immune system, and focuses your mind. So if you have to miss an appointment for any reason make sure that you make it up!

Millions of people suffer from chronic illnesses, which can significantly improve through activity. Exercise reduces the risk of heart disease, diabetes, colon cancer, and high blood pressure. People who are active outlive those who are inactive. Despite the well-known benefits, most adults and children lead relatively sedentary lifestyles. They are not active enough.
A sedentary lifestyle is defined as engaging in no leisure-time physical activity (exercises, sports, physically active hobbies) in a two-week period. Typically, a lot of older people lead sedentary lifestyles. More than one-third of young people in grades 9-12 do not exercise regularly. The cost to the medical establishment is in the billions for treatments of diseases, which could be lessened with exercise.
Physical activity maintains muscle strength, joint structure, joint functioning and bone health. Exercise has an effect on mental health as well, especially among young people. It increases the capacity for learning, increases self esteem and reduces anxiety and stress. Sports can introduce skills such as teamwork, self-discipline, sportsmanship, leadership and socialization.
Obesity has become a nationwide epidemic. Regular activity, along with a nutritious diet, that incorporates portion control is the key to maintaining a healthy weight. Everyone must realize the benefits of physical activity for the mind and body. Then commit to a lifestyle that is active for the whole family.

How to get it? It must be deliberately sought after through specific action. Motivation towards any endeavor is not natural, although it may appear so at first due to someone’s interest or desire for the short term benefit of something.
Motivation can be generated at will by anyone towards any endeavor…it’s all about taking action!
Some people think motivation is an inner drive or feeling. They think it’s something that gets sparked by one of the five senses. If they see something they like and they want it, they may think that motivation is what causes them to get it or “act” on it. This is not true. That’s not motivation, that’s impulse or desire.
These people would define motivation as a desire that causes you to act. This is wrong. Real motivation is an act that causes a desire or drive! This is what makes motivation such a valuable tool in sales. If you take action, you’ll become motivated!

Inflammation of the joints from arthritis is characterized by joint stiffness, swelling, redness, and warmth. Tenderness of the inflamed joint can be present with loss of range of motion and eventually deformity can also result. Certain forms of arthritis can also be associated with pain and inflammation of the tendons surrounding your joints.
Millions of people suffer daily with pain and disability from arthritis or its complications. Moreover, many of the forms of arthritis, because they are rheumatic diseases, can also cause symptoms affecting various organs of the body that do not directly involve the joints.
Therefore, symptoms in some patients with certain forms of arthritis can also include fever, gland swelling, weight loss, fatigue, feeling unwell, and even symptoms from abnormalities of organs such as the lungs, heart, or kidneys.
The Annals of Internal Medicine published the results of a survey of 232 people who had arthritis and were under a rheumatologists care. Of those responding to the survey 63% were using some form of "complementary care" as named by the study.
Of those people that responded, 31% were using chiropractic.
These numbers may themselves be grossly under reported as only 45% of the patients told their doctor about using the other forms of care. Unfortunately, a lot of patients never tell their medical physician that they are using a Doctor of Chiropractic for their complaint.
These reported numbers translate to over 19% of the public who are seeing a rheumatologist and also a chiropractor at the same time.
Possibly the most impressive statistic was that 73% of those trying chiropractic found it helpful. The reasons given why people said they tried the non-medical care was to ‘control pain’, because they “heard it helps”, “because it is safe”, “because it helped someone they know”, and “because their prescription medication wasn't working”.
Chiropractic care is great for PAIN CONTROL, but don’t forget… it helps every cell, tissue, and organ in your body.
Chiropractic has been around for 100 years and it’s here to stay. If you are seeing a chiropractor, you are doing yourself a great service by getting regular chiropractic care and I commend you on that decision. If you’re not seeing a chiropractor… What are you waiting for?

The vertebrae in your body are separated by fibrous discs called intervertebral discs. When you injure your back or neck, many times there is also a specific injury to the intervertebral disc. The disc can bulge, herniate or be torn. Chiropractors are experts in spinal anatomy and are familiar with the latest research published on why the discs hurt so much.
In a recent article published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, the British edition, titled, "The Nerve Supply of the Lumbar Intervertebral Disc," the author talks about how disc pain can be found in areas other than your neck or lower back. This can lead to pain in entire regions of the body and/or pain that feels like it is coming from the inside.

As your child is being born, the vertebrae in the neck and back can become misalignmened due to the stretching and compressing of the body as it emerges into the world.
If your delivery included a prolonged pushing stage, forceps or vacuum extraction, or other form of ‘assisted delivery’, the chances of a misalignment are even greater.
If the misalignments in the spine and neck (called vertebral subluxations) are big enough, the functioning of major systems in the babies’ body can be compromised.
The digestive system can be affected and ineffective digestion of breast milk can cause major discomfort in your baby, leading to episodes of ‘colic’.
Many parents are wary of taking their small, helpless babies to see a chiropractor. The main reason being the "Snap, Crackle and Pop" stereotype that chiropractic invokes.
In actuality, the adjustments that a chiropractor will do on your baby are basically applying gentle pressure with the finger to areas on the neck and back, like a small nudge on the forearm.
Here’s what you’ll probably see. your baby may totally relax before your eyes as the misalignments are corrected. Imagine you had a bad headache, your neck was tighter than a drum and you could hardly turn your head, wouldn’t you be a little cranky?
Your child is no different. The only real difference is they can’t tell you through speech, they do it by their actions.

Mel Gibson uses chiropractic on a regular basis. On the cover of the June 22, 2000 edition of TV Guide Insider, is a picture of Mel Gibson dressed for his then upcoming movie "The Patriot". In the story, they talk about how Mr. Gibson uses chiropractic on a regular basis. In the article he states, "I got a chiropractor to come along to the [Patriot] shoot, because they can actually stick you back together within 15 minutes. He used to come every other week, from Los Angeles to South Carolina - spend a week and work on the entire crew."
Arnold Schwarzenegger is another fan and devote recipient of chiropractic care. Each year in Columbus, OH Arnold addresses a chiropractic fitness symposium held in conjunction with his "Arnold Classic".
At the event in February 2000, he made the following remarks,

Barbara Bunkowsky - LPGA Tour Professional states... "I Have found that chiropractic keeps me flexible and pain-free so that I can perform at my highest level. The benefits of chiropractic have improved my golf swing, putting less stress and strain on my body and allowing me to be a more productive golfer. I believe it also helps prevent other associated injuries that are very common on the LPGA tour."
Dan O'Brien - 1996 Olympic Decathlon gold medalist said... "You obviously can't compete at your fullest if you're not in alignment. And your body can't heal if your back is not in alignment. It was the holistic idea that I liked about chiropractic and tat is what track and field is about. Every track and field athlete that that I have ever met has seen a chiropractor at one time or another. In track and field, it is absolutely essential. Chiropractic care is one of the things I think that no one has denied or refuted."

Sara Harding- Miss Fitness USA 2006 states, "Basically, I've always believed in chiropractic care. My parents introduced my brothers and myself to chiropractic care when we were very young and it's been an instrumental part of my life. I believe that it allowed me to do gymnastics when I was very little and allowed me to stay in sports and lead a very active lifestyle. I think it's natural to have aches and pains when you bend your body in directions it wasn't necessarily meant to [be bent in], so it makes sense to go to a chiropractor to get my body back in alignment. Ever since I can remember, I've gone to a chiropractor. "
Lance Armstrong - Seven Time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has received chiropractic care since January of 1999, helping him to keep his body together for the harsh demands of the Tour de France. After one Tour de France, Lance said that he could not have won without his chiropractor's help.

Marla Maples Trump ...has made her Chiropractic care a family priority. Her daughter gets adjusted and she has referred her husband, mother, chauffeur, nanny and personal assistant for care.
There has been a growing trend among athletes using chiropractic care.
Approximately 31% of NFL teams have a chiropractor on staff and 39% of all Division I athletes said they use chiropractic either to get into top shape or to stay there. Many say chiropractic helps them to get into top physical shape without the use of drugs. Sean Atkins, PhD, Exercise Physiologist stated "I would estimate that in excess of 90% of all world-class athletes use chiropractic care to prevent injuries and to increase their performance potential."
In a study conducted by the New Zealand School of Chiropractic, University of Auckland, New Zealand, reaction times were improved and shortened in volunteer subjects who received chiropractic care over those that did not. The group who received chiropractic adjustments showed a decrease in reaction time of 97 milliseconds representing a 14.8 percent quicker reaction time.
A recent internet article gave some interesting information on one of the world's most famous faces. For years we've seen and heard in the news about the health challenges faced by Elizabeth Taylor. We've all seen photos of her in a wheel chair and heard about her battle with prescription drugs she had been taking for back pain. It was wonderful to read she had sought out the care of a chiropractor, with great results. She credits her chiropractor for her successful rehabilitation and recovery from back problems. Ms. Taylor is hardly the only celebrity to utilize chiropractic care to regain and maintain her health. Other chiropractic regulars include Warren Beatty, James Earl Jones, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jack Nicholson, Julie Andrews, Jane Seymour, and Mel Gibson.
Many Olympic athletes utilize chiropractic to maximize health and performance. Track and field stars Carl Lewis, Michael Johnson, and Edwin Moses, as well as, diver Greg Louganis, decathalon athlete Dan O'Brien, and swimmer Sheila Taormina are a few medalists who seek chiropractic care, sometimes immediately before their competitions to enhance performance--without drugs. Boxer Evander Holyfield, was introduced to chiropractic during the 1983 Pan Am Games. He was quoted in 1988 as saying, "I have to have my adjustment before going into the ring".
Olympic athletes are not the only athletes under chiropractic care. Professional basketball great, Wilt Chamberlain, baseball Hall of Famer Wade Boggs, and football heroes Joe Montana, Drew Pearson, and Fran Tarkenton use chiropractic. Fran Tarkenton joined Wade Boggs in claiming chiropractic has been useful in keeping him productive and prolonging his career. Boggs stated in 1998 that, "By getting an adjustment once a week...I feel I can sustain my career a lot longer."
No one would claim celebrities have all the answers. However, it would seem that with all the options celebrity affords them, the fact they seek chiropractic care to meet their healthcare needs says something about the value of chiropractic for optimum health!

Bet you didn’t think about the fact that cell phones, Blackberries, i-Pods, and handheld games have Americans spending a lot of time peering DOWN at their laps.
While these gadgets are a source of entertainment for kids and the cell phones help us to stay connected to friends and coworkers, handheld devices are also a source of muscle pain and injury.
I have seen a dramatic increase in the number of people complaining of neck and back pain as a result of their handheld devices, and most patients don’t realize how looking down at a gadget can worsen neck, back and shoulder problems.
When people come in to my office with these complaints, I tell them “Hold the device in your hands and then take a look at the way you’re holding your body“, I can see almost immediately the cause of their pain – poor posture and overused muscles. If you use your cell phone a lot you might want to consider this handout as a “wake-up call“.
To help lessen muscle soreness caused by popular handheld devices, try these suggestions:
* Practice good posture when using any handheld device. Sit in a chair that provides solid back support and keep feet comfortably on the floor.
* Spend 10 minutes or less with your head tilted down looking at the device, and when possible hold the gadget at eye level.
* When at home or in the office, connect the device to your keyboard or computer.
* Take frequent breaks and alternate activities that use different muscle groups.
* Watch for warning signs of overuse such as headaches, fatigue or muscle pain.
If you continue to feel soreness, pain or muscle strain after following these tips, it may be time for a visit to our office for an adjustment and some instruction on stretching and light exercises.

The Carpal Tunnel is a tunnel of bones and ligaments in your wrist that lies over the top of the Median nerve. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome occurs when tendons in your wrist become inflamed after being aggravated and “pinch” the nerves that reach your fingers and the muscle at the base of your thumb.
Often, when there is a misalignment of one or more of your spinal bones in the neck, the brain is not able to send a strong, steady nerve current to your arm and hand. This imperfect nerve flow can cause an inflammation or swelling of your median nerve, which is then easily irritated within your wrist by repetitive movement. The resulting numbness, tingling, pain, and weakness is often confused with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
While there is little agreement in the medical community about the causes of Carpal Tunnel, there is a possibility that chiropractic can help.
Through gentle manipulation, the spinal bones in your neck can be re-aligned, relieving the pressure on your affected nerves, allowing strong nerve current to flow from your brain to the affected area. This is the best way to take care of pain associated with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome as often times, people do not have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, but a pinched nerve.

The most famous proponent of the benefit of drinking apple cider vinegar goes way back! Hippocrates claimed it would cure many common ailments including ear infections and skin rash. No modern research has yet verified these two assertions.
However, recent studies do confirm that there are some significant health benefits of apple cider vinegar.
It improves insulin sensitivity and management of type two diabetes – How? By taking apple cider vinegar BEFORE MEALS which lowers your ‘glycemic index’ when eating carbohydrates. It’s like magic.
Better digestion - The acetic acid in apple cider vinegar helps prevent necessary gastric acid, mainly Hydrochloric acid, from leaving the stomach too soon. Food may be more easily digested with fewer unpleasant gassy problems.
Appetite control and weight loss – This alone is worth the price of a bottle. Several trials show that drinking apple cider vinegar BEFORE a meal has the benefit of curbing appetite. How do you get the benefits of apple cider vinegar?

Unpasteurized apple cider vinegar is safe because the acid levels will kill unfavorable bacteria. The living vinegar provides copious quantities of enzymes, malic and tartaric acids, and valuable minerals, including potassium. The 'dead' supermarket varieties of vinegar will NOT contain enzymes and a mere fraction of the minerals of living vinegar.
2) Shake the bottle prior to use to disperse the threads of the apple cider vinegar producing 'bug'. These threads are the living part of the cider and may look unappealing until shaken up.
3) Take 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar (plus 1 teaspoon of honey if you prefer) in ½ a glass of pH water prior to meals.
4) If you not planning to eat, brush your teeth AFTER taking the vinegar. Too much apple cider vinegar has been found to damage tooth enamel due to its acidity. Just make sure to rinse after drinking it.
5) You can buy pH tests at the pharmacy, and test your pH. If you have an acidic result, apple cider vinegar may be especially appropriate for your system.

Migraine headaches afflict many people. They can affect people from the very young to the very old.
They can affect YOU, a co-worker or even a spouse or a close friend.
Migraine symptoms include ‘severe pain’ on one side of your head that can last for days and can include nausea and sensitivity to light.
While many medical treatments address the symptoms, Chiropractic addresses the cause of your headache pain.
We view migraines as something that is caused by pressure on sensitive nerve endings in your head, resulting from a chemical imbalance in the brain.
Since your brain controls the entire body’s function by communication through your nervous system, any interference to this communication affects your body. If any spinal bones, which protect the nerves, get misaligned, there is a NEGATIVE effect on your body’s systems.
Muscles attached to your spinal bones overreact and become ‘spastic and irritated’ because your nerves are pulled on a compressed, then stretched and then they can become traumatized.
Headache pain can easily result from these imbalances.
By making sure your vertebrae are moving correctly, and not locked into place by your muscles, the muscles that support your head are then relieved of stress and spasms.
Your pain will then become diminished as the structure of your spinal bones of the neck is improved.
Don’t wait, your health is a serious matter. If you take medication to cover it up, you’ll always have headaches. Imagine you are driving down the road and your car starts to make a funny noise. If you turn up your radio, have you fixed the problem? Of course not, you just don't hear the noise anymore. This is what medications do for your headache. Chiropractic during pregnancy is an important part of pre-natal care. Unfortunately, not enough women know of the benefits of chiropractic care both for themselves and their unborn baby. A woman's body undergoes an amazing number of changes during pregnancy. As her baby grows her musculoskeletal system must adjust accordingly to accommodate and prepare for delivery. Chiropractic care helps her body to stay aligned as these changes occur and also helps to keep the nervous system functioning at its optimal level.
Many pregnant women experience low back and hip pain. This is the result of the stresses put on the body by the rapid growth of the baby and the changes the body must undergo to accommodate these changes. As her belly gets bigger, the woman's center of gravity changes. The growth is so quick that it is often difficult for her low back and pelvis to adjust to this change. This causes stress in those areas, resulting in misalignments, or subluxation, which then causes pain and dysfunction.
If a woman's low back and pelvis was out of alignment BEFORE her pregnancy it is even harder for her back and pelvis to adjust. When the pelvis is misaligned, or subluxated, it affects her uterus and the position of the growing baby. The uterus is connected to the pelvis by ligaments. Like a hot air balloon tethered to the ground, these ligaments work to keep the uterus in the proper place in the pelvis and allow support as the uterus grows to accommodate the growing baby. If her pelvis is subluxated, these ligaments can become strained or twisted.
When the ligaments are affected, they directly affect the position of the uterus which can result in the baby not being in an optimal position. This type of situation may result in a breech baby or a transverse (sideways) baby. My goal as a chiropractor is to correct the subluxations in the pelvis to help balance the uterus and allow the baby to get into a better position.
Chiropractic adjustments for a pregnant woman are specific, gentle, and safe!
Besides increasing a pregnant woman's comfort level, an aligned pelvis can result in a quicker, safer, and easier birth. When a baby is in breech or transverse position, a cesarean section is almost always performed. Because they are so common many people forget that a c-section is a major abdominal surgery and can be risky. Helping the baby to get into a proper head-down position by balancing the pelvis and ligaments helps to avoid c-sections due to baby positioning.
Other variations in baby position such as a tilted head or a "sunny side up" baby (face up during delivery) can also be caused by pelvic imbalance and may result in a more difficult, painful, and longer labor and delivery. And don’t forget, once the baby is born, he or she should be adjusted.

Over the past five decades, we have witnessed a steady increase in Asthma cases in this country. Today, over 20 million Americans suffer from some type of Asthma, making it the most common chronic ailment in the United States today.
Asthma is a shortness of breath due to the contraction, inflammation, or mucus buildup within the lung’s airways. A number of things can trigger Asthma including environmental conditions, allergens, physical exertion, viral infections, a misalignment in your spine and even emotional stress. Besides a shortness of breath, asthma symptoms include wheezing, chest tightness, and coughing. Asthma attacks are dangerous and have the potential to become fatal if something is not done to open up the airways.
Some believe that are immune systems have become more sensitive because we are less likely to be exposed to infection than our ancestors were. We also spend much more time indoors now, where we are exposed to more dust and mold and the air that we breath (both inside and outside) is much more polluted than it was last century. Our move from the country to the city has also led to a more sedentary lifestyle leading to obesity as we move less and sit more.
The lack of exercise has been fingered as the main culprit in rise in asthma in our country and an exercise regime has been proven to be beneficial for today’s young asthmatics. Obesity and asthma seem to walk hand in hand together. As many 75% of the people admitted to the ER for treatment of asthma are reported to be overweight. The lungs have less room to expand, fat also releases a hormone called leptin, which is thought to stimulate cells in your airway, leading to increased sensitivity to allergens.
Besides eating more food, the types of foods that we now eat might also be fanning the flames of this new epidemic. Some research indicates that our shift from grain to corn based nutrition may have helped increase our system sensitivity. Our massive intake of vitamins in minerals via fortified foods is also to be looked into. Sugar, soda and milk are also major culprits in stimulating an attack.
Asthma sufferers fall into two different categories: allergic and non-allergic.
Allergic, or extrinsic asthma is the most common type and is triggered by an allergic reaction by something you inhale. Immunoglobulin E is a antibody that the body produces in order to protect itself from foreigners. It resides it the lungs, skin and mucous membranes and it is responsible for most types of allergic reactions including eczema, hay fever and asthma.
Non-allergic, or intrinsic, asthma is caused by any other factors that do not happen to be allergens. These include upper respiratory infections, “stress”, anxiety, hyperventilation, smoke, viruses, a misalignment in your spine and even exercise.

Age does not mean that you cannot progress. Age does not mean that you are finished. Age does not mean that you can’t enjoy life to it’s fullest.
I work with a lot of people in this office on a daily basis. I work on babies, all the way up to ninety-one year olds (that’s the oldest patient I’ve ever seen up to now). Some of my greatest success stories have been with my “older” patients.
Age is a frame of mind. It really is. You can always improve your health and always get in better physical condition - no matter how old you are. Now I’m not crazy either. Age certainly can slow down progress, but it does not mean it can't happen.
With a well thought out health program, good nutrition, and proper rest, progress can always be made.
Further, just because you have reached your 60th or 70th birthday does not mean you can expect the rest of your life to be painful in some way. Too many people assume that pain is a birthright and that it is something they must live with. It is not! Pain and dysfunction can be dealt with - no matter your age.
Change your attitude. Look around and realize that there are plenty of people older than you that are working hard, with intensity and are in great condition. Why can’t you be one of those people? Find help. If you have conditions that you feel are “age-related” tell one of the staff so we can help you reach your healthcare goals and live pain free.
Find your motivation. I recently worked with a 70 year old softball player. This guy is a pitcher and plays at a high level with people half his age. What keeps him young and in great condition? His mental outlook. He never once used age as an excuse. Find your motivation and use it to fuel your own fire.

Do you grit your teeth and carry on? Lie down? Pop a pill and hope the pain goes away? There is a better alternative.
New research shows that an adjustment, just like the one's we perform at this office - is an effective treatment option for tension headaches and headaches that originate in your neck.
A report released by researchers at the Duke University found that an adjustment resulted in almost immediate improvement for those headaches that originate in the neck, and had significantly fewer side effects and longer-lasting relief of tension-type headache than a commonly prescribed medication.
But to get to the bottom of the problem, you first need to find out what is causing your pain.
Headaches have many causes, or "triggers." These may include foods, environmental stimuli (noises, lights, stress, etc.) and/or behaviors (insomnia, excessive exercise, blood sugar changes, etc.).
Ninety-five percent of headaches are primary headaches, such as tension, migraine, or cluster headaches. These types of headaches are not caused by disease. The headache itself is the primary concern.
"The greatest majority of primary headaches are associated with muscle tension in the neck," What Can You Do? If you spend a large amount of time in one fixed position, such as in front of a computer, on a sewing machine, typing or reading, take a break and stretch every 30 minutes to one hour.
The stretches should take your head and neck through a comfortable range of motion.
Low-impact exercise may help relieve the pain associated with primary headaches. However, if you are prone to dull, throbbing headaches, avoid heavy exercise. Engage in such activities as walking and low-impact aerobics.
Avoid teeth clenching. The upper teeth should never touch the lowers, except when swallowing. Last but not least, drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day to help avoid dehydration, which can lead to headaches and try to avoid caffeine.
Foods such as chocolate, coffee, sodas and cocoa contain high levels of the stimulant.

When a doctor of chiropractic uses the word dis-ease it is indicative of your body being MINUS something that your body needs to be at it’s optimum health. Something needs to be restored, in order to help your body become normal again.
